  • Foot bath - With 5 to 8 drops of rosemary oil you can relieve foot pain and help increase levels of circulation. Only 2 drops of cypress oil will help control perspiration and odors.
  • Soothing massage - Olive or coconut oil can be used as the base for a massage. Ginger and peppermint oils can soothe back pain and aches.

  • Hair loss control - Rosemary oil added to your favorite shampoo can help increase circulation and reduce hair loss.

Essential Oil Health Benefits

  • Congestion relief - Peppermint oil and warm water helps open the air passages. Eucalyptus is another great option.
  • Insomnia - Just a few drops of lavender oil in a spray bottle can help soothe your body, and help you fall asleep.
  • Headache relief - Peppermint oil and carrier oil rubbed in to your temple can help with treating headaches; lavender is an alternate for peppermint oil.
  • PMS - Germanium oils can be diluted, and rubbing them to the shoulders and neck will help with PMS cramps.
  • Burn treatment - A small drop of lavender oil to a burn can help prevent the progression of the burn. A cold bath with this oil, and oatmeal, can help soothe the skin, and prevent that lingering burning sensation.

  • Counter, dish, & floor cleaner - Warm water, a small dab of unscented dish soap, and 5 to 10 drops of lemon (or your choice) oil, provides the perfect base cleaner.
  • Clean clothes - 3 to 5 drops of your favorite essential oil in an unscented detergent makes for a clean load. With 20 to 30 drops of oil and vinegar, you can make your own fabric softener as well.
  • Air freshener - 1 tsp of your favorite essential oil mixed with 1 cup of water in a spray jar, produces a neutral, warm, clean scent for the car, or you can spray it on fabrics and clothes, that are dingy and smelly.
  • Mold killer - 2 tsp of Melaleuca oil and 2 cups of water, can help target black mold. Distilled vinegar with about 10 drops of an essential oil is another viable option.

  • Sunburns - 5 drops of lavender oil and 1 tsp Aloe Vera work for relief.

Geranium, Frankincense, Sandalwood, and Ylang Ylang are also commonly used for child treatments.

The bottom of the feet is one of the best places for application. Even extremely hot oils applied to the bottom of your feet doesn't cause discomfort. Putting on a pair of socks after application will help prevent marks or getting oil on other surfaces.
