Taking a Break from the HCG Diet Plan

If you have a sudden emergency that requires a lot of attention (family emergency, sudden unexpected business trip) you may find that you need to take a break from the HCG diet

Dr. Simeons says that if you know your break will last more than four days, discontinue your drops for that time period and up your caloric intake by adding dairy and eggs. If your break from the HCG diet will last for less than 2 weeks, you may directly resume your HCG diet drops at any time during that time period.

If your break from the HCG diet drops will last longer than 2 weeks, it might be a good idea to just wait a while until life calms down, then begin again.

Yes, you will have to start over. It’s not the worst thing that could happen. During your HCG diet break, just make sure that you don’t overindulge—you don’t want to end up having even more weight to lose!
