On the traditional HCG diet protocol outlined by Dr. Simeons, dieters stick to a rigid diet of 500 calories a day. Some people may find that too difficult. Don’t worry; that will not exclude you from the HCG diet. You can up your caloric intake to 800 a day and still expect to lose a significant amount of weight. This does not mean that you can eat 300 calories more of anything; you must still stick to the HCG diet protocol. Do not eat fats, starches, or sugars.
Since you are eating more calories, it would be acceptable to participate in moderate exercise. Since you are still not eating a great number of calories, though, it is not recommended that you engage in resistance training. Also, because of an increased caloric intake, your weight loss on the HCG diet may be less significant than that of someone who is eating only 500 calories a day.
