Some people on the HCG diet drops have been told that they can or should cook with up to one tablespoon of coconut oil per day. The benefits of coconut oil are extensive, and it has many uses, from topical application to food preparation.
There are two schools of thought on the subject of coconut oil as it relates to the HCG diet: one saying that you should incorporate it into your diet, and one saying that you should not.
While the HCG diet protocol states that no oil of any kind should be used while on the HCG diet, some doctors are recommending this one kind of oil. It’s good for everything from dry skin to more serious ailments, and is used in some cosmetics.
If you do decide to cook with it, make sure you get raw, virgin coconut oil. The other kind of coconut oil is processed and unhealthy.
If you are consuming coconut oil or using cosmetics containing it, and you find yourself not losing weight, then you should stop using the coconut oil and stick to the HCG protocol stating that no oils are permitted. The truth is that it works for some people, and doesn’t work for others.
